The firm represented over one hundred (100) plaintiffs at Wildwood Mobile Home Country Club in a case involving multiple claims against the park owners for failure to properly maintain the premises, discrimination, sexual harassment, battery, etc. Mayor Mark Rutherford of Westlake Village is a lead Defendant. Most recently, the Honorable Debra Katz Weintraub denied Defendants Petition to Compel Arbitration, finding all the Lease Agreements the residents signed were unconscionable and unenforceable. The Defendant park owners appealed. The mobile home park association statewide filed an Amicus Brief in support of the appeal. The Court of Appeals denied the appeal and upheld Haney’s victory.
